The description of nature becomes a lot easier if we have the freedom to use mathematics.
For example, to say electrostatic force between two particles is proportional to the product of the charges and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them, is more difficult than to write F= m1m2/r2 .
So, the techniques such algebra, trigonometry, and calculus can be used to make predictions from the basic equations. Thus, mathematics is the language of physics. Without the knowledge of mathematics, it is quite difficult to understand and explain the laws of nature.
